She did not know what had posed her to go to the Oakland Zoo on that foggy morning, but there she was, paying her money to walk through the gates and into the zoo. Victoria had dressed warmly enough, skinny jeans and leg warmers, ballet flats and gloves, and a tee shirt that was partially hidden by her light grey sweater. She had gotten up early that morning to take the various means of public transportation so that she could get to the Zoo right when it opened so that she could watch the tigers.
The two tigers at the zoo always spent the night in the night house, a sheltered area, hidden to the public eye, in fact, all the animals at the zoo spent the night in their respective night houses. The tigers however were particularly playful in the morning, and, as the blonde haired stood at the lookout, leaning against the fence, the two great cats scratched and batted at two large plastic balls.
Victoria smiled as she watched the magnificent creatures below her growling and rolling over. They were truly amazing creatures, graceful in the way they walked, terrible in the way they ate, and adorable in the way they played and rolled around. “They’re like giant kittens!” She said aloud, a large smile stretching across her face.

He had woken up early, way too early. Rather than waste hours of his day sitting around he got on the bus and headed to Oakland. He walked down the streets until he got to the zoo. He shrugged and went to the gate, fished through the pockets of his long black trench coat and pulled out the correct admission and entered. It was chilly out, and early in the morning so as expected it wasn't overly crowded. He sighed and watched the animals waking up. It was actually kind of magical watching giraffes and hippos wake and exit the night houses.
He went to a concession stand and bough a cup of coffee and took a large gulp of the hot liquid. It made his eyes open a little wider as he made his way over to the large cat cages. He stopped in front of the tiger pit and watched the tigers playing with each other. He smiled to himself and spoke aloud. "Aww. They're so cute."
